For parents searching for a solution to help their child struggling with focus and attention issues, there's a good chance they too have struggled or are continuing to struggle with the same thing. According to a May 2017 WebMD article, anywhere from one-third to one-half of parents with attention issues will have a child who experiences the same struggle. If a parent has attention issues, their child has more than a 50% chance of experiencing them as well. If an older sibling has attention issues, a child has more than a 30% chance.
